Greetings Beyond Poses Community!

Going Beyond the Poses…

We are thrilled to invite you into a deeper dimension of your practice.

At Beyond Poses Yoga, we believe true transformation begins when we go within. That’s why we’re offering workshops designed to support your journey beyond the mat—through the ancient healing practices of breathwork and sound therapy.

These sessions are a beautiful invitation to slow down, release stored tension, and return home to yourself.

Whether you’re seeking clarity, calm, or connection, join us to explore the natural medicine of your breath and the vibrational healing of sound.

With peace and presence

Partner Yoga for Care & Connection

This gentle, guided workshop is an invitation to slow down and learn how to support one another through safe, assisted stretching.
Designed for couples and close friends, this experience focuses on communication, trust, and presence—using the body as a doorway to deeper connection.

You’ll be guided through simple, accessible partner stretches that emphasize listening, consent, and care rather than intensity or force. Along the way, you’ll practice asking for what you need, responding with awareness, and discovering how supportive touch can foster ease, relaxation, and mutual understanding.

No prior experience is needed. Come with someone you trust, and leave feeling more grounded, connected, and at ease—both in your body and in your relationship ✨

Partner sign up is required.

Women’s Magic Circle

This magical group is aligned with major planetary transits and is all about connection and building a safe community with like-minded women.
We will build connection with ourselves and each other to heal in a creative environment. We will explore our deepest selves, patterns and stories and how they connect to nature.
We will do this through yoga, breathing, laughing, moving, dancing, playing, creating, exploring, sharing and healing together.
We will also talk about themes in Clarissa Pinkola Estes book Women Who Run with the Wolves, so if you haven’t read the book, this is your sign, though not required!

Every class will be different as we will explore and step into our own wildness, creativity and power.
Come dig up the bones and create soul medicine!

Bring a journal and a cozy mug for tea!
Also bring whatever else will keep you comfortable sitting on the ground. We have mats, props, and blankets for you to use.

Hosted by our wonderful Garre Liana occurring the third Friday of every month.

Understanding the Layers of Trauma

What to expect: This is a two day workshop designed for anyone that wants to understand their own trauma or anyone that works with people that have trauma.

-Students, yoga teachers and therapists are all welcome and will benefit.

We will be approaching the healing of trauma using the yoga Kosha model:

physical body layer (annamaya kosha)
energy body (pranamaya kosha)
mind/emotional body (manamaya kosha)
wisdom body (vijanamaya kosha)
bliss body (ansndamaya kosha)

We will practice some movement, breathing and guided visualization/meditation to experience each layer.

A word from Garre…

I’m an 800 hour yoga teacher, Reiki master, breathwork guide and Kabbalah teacher.
For the past six years, I’ve been in mentorship with Rachel Bertner, a Columbus based energy and Somatic practitioner, body educator and trauma/addiction recovery specialist. I’ve taken many workshops about teaching trauma populations, and I taught yoga practice to teens at Residential Behavioral Centers and Juvenile Detention Centers in Florida.

I make this topic approachable by breaking down common concepts using the yoga Kosha model and sharing my own story.

Topics covered include:

– The neuroscience of trauma and how the brain experiences trauma
– The physiological response to trauma and how the body experiences trauma
– An explanation of the Kosha model and how to use each layer for healing
– What kind of poses and breathwork are helpful for common traumatized populations
– How to spot bodies that are holding trauma
– Discussion of touch and when to use the power of touch
– Safe language and options for creative cueing to fit to specialized populations in yoga classes

Please come in comfortable clothes and bring a notebook/journal.
