In this workshop, we will learn how to begin creating and expanding the Mandala on a 9×12 canvas with the “dots” technique, using vibrant colors, Mandala tools and toothpicks for different kinds of dots, creating our own, unique design, while enjoying some relaxing time with members of our community.
A Mandala (Sanskrit for “circle”) is an artistic representation of higher thought and deeper meaning given as a geometrical symbol used in spiritual, or psychological work to focus one’s attention.
The purpose of painting a Mandala is to encourage introspection and awareness, creating a meditative energy that allows for peace of mind.

Natalia Londono (or Naty), has always had a love for color and brightness. She was born in Medellin, Colombia and her family has always been supportive of her special gift – her talent.
She is self taught in the art of painting Mandalas, and has used it as art therapy to cope with life’s challenges and loss in her life.
Naty uses no patterns and often the simplest of tools: a toothpick! Her work is stunning and full of life and love.
