Beginners Yoga and Breathwork for Teens w/Tracy Kropp

Join us in a five-week series especially designed for teens!

If you are 13 to 19 and would like to learn how to calm your mind, relax, and ease stress and anxiety, this is for you! We will be focusing on simple breathing techniques and basic yoga poses to promote well-being and to feel more peaceful.

No prior knowledge or experience is required.

The classes will be held on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 1:30pm on July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31, and August 7.

This is perfect for learning some calming strategies before school starts.

About Tracy:
Having a Masters degree in Education and after many years working in that field, Tracy decided to reinvent herself following her calling to provide integral well-being. She is now a Licensed Massage Therapist, member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals Organization, and a Certified Yoga Teacher through Breathe for Change. She recently opened her own company Beyond Bodyworks Massage Therapy and is now a full time (and amazing) massage therapist and yoga teacher. Although she appreciates all styles of yoga, from Ashtanga to Yin, to Power Yoga, she mostly gravitates toward Vinyasa style. In her classes she will lead you to coordinate your breath with flowing movements, centering your body and mind.

Chanting Up The Chakras w/Sara Webb

Mantra meditation is a powerful tool for invoking in peace, success, health, and gratitude. The voice is a powerful tool to move energy and set the tone for deep meditative states. Come immerse yourself in this meditative experience. When we chant mantras, we invest in our healing through the meditative states which naturally arise as a result of the literal vibrations emanating from our being.

This 2-hour workshop will explore the bija mantras associated with each of the body’s energy centers, or Chakras. We will begin with foundational understanding of the chakras and the mantras associated with them. We will then embody each of the chakras along with the bija mantra sound. Finally, we will chant them up the spine to move the kundalini energy within our own energy body.

*Recommendation to allow minimum 30 minutes after eating before engaging in chanting.*

About Sara:
has been practicing yoga for 2 decades and is a 200 Hr Registered Yoga Teacher with certifications in Pranayama (breath work) and chanting, an author, speaker, and meditation coach. She found success teaching leaders with high-functioning anxiety to take back control of their lives with simple meditation techniques, empowering them to step into their highest potential.

Women’s Group w/Garre Liana

This group is for women to have a safe space to discuss and explore themes around connecting to your own soul, intuition, and wildness. We also talk about how to stay grounded, how to stay in your own energy, cord cutting, knowing when you feel like you, knowing what feels good and what doesn’t, inner child work, self-love, learning how to receive and not just give, etc. This is a space to connect and have conversations that we as women need to be talking about.

There will be some gentle movement, breathing, journaling, intention setting, laughing, and being magical.

Tea and light snacks will be provided.

About Garre:
Garre (pronounced Gary) is a healer and artist; a Reiki master, yoga teacher, breathwork guide, spiritual mentor, stress and trauma specialist and personal trainer. She helps people heal all layers of their being and helps them align with their highest vibration. Garre believes we are all creative beings, and she helps her clients tap into their creativity. One of her biggest loves is teaching yoga to teen girls at the juvenile detention centers and behavioral centers in Florida. She teaches kids and adults practices that help them build awareness, self-regulate, and feel safe in their bodies.

Qigong (pronounced chi-gong) is similar to a moving meditation. Gentle rhythmic and repetitive movement patterns as well as breathing techniques and a focused mindset enhance vitality and deep inner connection. Celebrate the season of Summer with a Qigong flow associated with the element of fire which symbolizes warmth, enthusiasm, and growth. This radiant element correlates directly to the heart and small intestine, organs that govern our joy, vitality, and overall circulatory health.

Gentle yoga relaxes the body, mind, and breath. A variety of restorative and reclined yoga poses will increase flexibility, stillness, and peacefulness. Props and modifications will be provided. This yoga practice is uniquely calm for all levels of practice.

The sounds and frequencies from Alchemy Crystal® Singing Bowls provide a relaxing and meditative state of consciousness by creating space for vibrations to radiate into every cell of the body, clearing and releasing blocked, stagnant, and unbalanced energy- creating space for inner wisdom and harmony to shine through you!

This event has an extended savasana (rest) allowing for integration while pure sounds expand into a multitude of vibrant, nourishing and healing overtones. Harmonizing your body, mind, and breath!

No previous experience with Qigong or Yoga is required.
